How does billing work?
Different modes of shipping are billed based on different parameters.

How do I get the bill for my shipment?
You are allowed to make payment for goods before and during shipping as well as IMMEDIATELY after shipments arrive at their intended destination. Bills are officially issued when shipments arrive at the intended location. You can also contact our customer desk to get a quote here: Get Quote.
How do I get my package once it arrives in Ghana?
Shipments international shipments are sent to our warehouses in Ghana. They can either be picked up from here or sent to the your preferred location at a fee.
My shipment is late, what should I do?

What do I need to pickup my shipment once I am notified of arrival?
You need your shipment tracking number and a government issued photo ID card.
How do I get my shipment tracking number?
Shipment tracking numbers are automatically sent to you either via SMS or email when our warehouse in the source country receives the your shipment.
When will my shipment arrive?
You can journey with your package through our track shipments page. This page provides the latest information regarding the location of your package.
How do I pack my shipment?
It is very important to pack/wrap the goods properly. If a shipment is not properly packed, there is a risk it could be damaged and/or damage other goods.

Ocean Freight

How does Ocean Shipping work at Newnet Express?
Have your contact in the source country (supplier or vendor) send your package to our warehouse address. It is processed and shipped in the next available shipping container once it gets there. How are packages billed when shipped by sea?
Packages are billed either based on the shipment CBM or tonnage, whichever is higher. Get Quote.
What is CBM?
This is an acronym for Cubic Meters. It is a measure of the volume of your shipment. Request either the dimensions of your package or the CBM from your supplier.
A 1 CBM package has length of 1 meter, width of 1 meter and height of 1 meter.

How does Air Shipping work at Newnet Express?

Insurance

Why do I need to insure my shipment?
For peace of mind.

Freight forwarders and carriers have limited liability under international conventions for loss or damage to customer goods. In the case of an incident, your compensation is normally calculated against a "standard" negligent liability. Newnet Express Insurance bridges that gap between our "standard" liability and the full value of your goods.
If something goes wrong, isn't Newnet Express responsible for replacing it anyway?
Since the cost of freight is assessed based on the weight or size and not the actual value of the shipment, our liability which is dictated by local law equates to only a fraction of the actual value of your shipment. We must also have been found to be negligent in our handling of your shipment.
I have never had an issue with damage or loss of my shipment, why should I insure my package now?
We handle every package with the maximum security and great care here at Newnet Express; it is our No.1 priority. However, accidents including natural disasters and others outside our control can still affect your shipment. The same way you purchase health insurance regardless of whether you are in good health or not, you also insure your shipment against risk to give you peace of mind about your package.
